POS Terminal | EMV | POS Host
Lexcel TestSystem® POS: POS Terminal generates scripted real-time transaction processing scenarios to automate and speed up the process of executing standard test cases, while also providing reporting for protocol, header and transaction details.
Provides the look, feel, and functionality of a live POS terminal in a desktop application running on a PC. The system enables the user to pre-define test conditions through configurable parameters and scripted scenarios for enhanced testing capabilities, and create fault conditions and transactions without having to physically destruct or alter a POS device.
Testers are able to perform pre-certification testing which greatly reduces the protocol and data format configurations that take up so much valuable online certification time. User are able to run the same set of scripted transactions that will be performed with online testing, and both test and certify internal Host system changes. Since Lexcel TestSystem® POS Terminal utilizes the same protocols as the production system (SNA, BISYNC, X.25, TCPIP, Dial-Up etc.), incorporates the same encryption methods (Single DES, Triple DES, DUKPT), provides EMV modules for Issuer and Acquirer testing, and validates transactions through cross-editing logic, tests reflect not only transaction validity but also transaction integrity.
By providing the transaction functionality of a POS terminal through the generation of transactions by magnetic stripe and EMV Chip card compatible readers and applications, or by the creation of real-time requests through an automated scripting application, the manual process of executing standard test cases is greatly reduced. In addition, Lexcel TestSystem® POS Terminal captures all transaction exchanges and errors in easy to interpret audit files and provides powerful automated regression applications for measuring variances against a baseline.
Finally, by initiating transaction generation through Lexcel TestSystem® POS Terminal, intercepting the transactions through Lexcel TestSystem CAPSystem stress test engine, and completing the transaction lifecycle with a Lexcel TestSystem Network Authorizer on the back end, network personnel are able to perform System Capacity Testing and Capacity Planning by matching the Auth/Capture transactions vs. Settlement records. |
