RBS WorldPay Further Automates Their Testing Environment with Lexcel’s ATM Delivery Solution
Scottsdale, AZ, June 10, 2009 – Lexcel Solutions, Inc., the only provider of business virtualization software and services for the payment technology industry, announced today that RBS WorldPay, the US-based payment processing division of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc., has implemented Lexcel’s automated virtual ATM environment. Manual testing processes at RBS WorldPay were automated through the use of Lexcel TestSystem® ATM with vendor support of Diebold and NCR. Along with the ability to automate ATM transaction traffic, RBS WorldPay is now able to test transactions end-to-end through Lexcel Interface Manager with connections to multiple ISO formats of Lexcel TestSystem® Network.
Lexcel’s automated and script based ATM simulation is licensed on multiple Lexcel Interface Manager platforms within RBS WorldPay, allowing access to both Quality Assurance and Development areas through a standard ATM testing interface. Lexcel’s ATM solution provides a common interface for testing multiple ATM Hardware vendors.
Lexcel installation and configuration services provided RBS WorldPay with hands on expertise to successfully migrate their Diebold and NCR load files into full ATM emulation. To further enhance Lexcel’s testing philosophies and methods within RBS WorldPay, Lexcel provided ATM product training sessions for Quality Assurance and Development teams which focused on the creation of scripts, product configuration, regression analysis, and fault generation.
Chuck Winters, RBS WorldPay QA Engineer noted, “Generally, we do not have large bank ATMs available to us. The installation of Lexcel’s Diebold and NCR ATM simulators allows RBS WorldPay to perform continuous testing without having a bulky ATM at each engineer’s desk. Lexcel’s software also allows us to test, and quickly deliver, newly created functionality based on customer requests.”
Lexcel provided RBS WorldPay with professional installation and training services in conjunction with the software release ensuring that RBS WorldPay’s testing infrastructure was fully implemented and closely mirrored their production environment. In addition to the installation of Lexcel’s latest ATM delivery solution, Lexcel’s knowledgeable staff performed an in-depth evaluation and pre-planning process to complete the intricate configuration services and professional installation on-site at RBS WorldPay’s Atlanta offices, further ensuring a successful project implementation. Lexcel’s Professional Services performed in conjunction with thorough planning, implementation, and proven methodologies bridges the gap between clients' use of multiple ATM manufacturers and faster adoption of a virtual ATM testing environment.
In conjunction with the delivery of the ATM software, Lexcel also provided RBS WorldPay with several message format updates to update existing Lexcel products. This update included Lexcel TestSystem® Network and Lexcel TestSystem® POS which were delivered to RBS WorldPay through their custom Task Management System provided by Lexcel. The Lexcel Task Management System is a powerful web-based, enterprise-grade, task management and help desk application providing individual user accounts for posting queries, issues or support requests regarding all products and services resulting in faster resolution times.
