SunTrust Selects Lexcel for Mission Critical Enterprise Solutions
Scottsdale, AZ, May 7, 2009 – Lexcel Solutions, Inc., the only provider of business virtualization software and services for the payment technology industry, announced today that SunTrust, one of the nation's largest banking organizations operating an extensive branch and ATM network throughout the high-growth Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states, has applied several enterprise-wide Lexcel solutions. Lexcel successfully installed and implemented Lexcel TestSystem® CapSystem® (CapSystem), Lexcel® Interface Manager and Lexcel TestSystem® ATM – Open Architecture. In conjunction with the software deliverables, Lexcel provided SunTrust with professional services for installation and training, ensuring that adoption of the new testing applications is well underway.
Lexcel’s capacity and stress testing solution, CapSystem, provided SunTrust the ability to generate 250 transactions per second, while allocating the proper transaction mix of FDR, VISA DPS, and NCR NDC+ transaction types. SunTrust presented the input data for building large script files to Lexcel, along with the expectations of each transaction format. From this input, Lexcel created looped script files ensuring that the proper transaction percentage mixtures were included in each file. Lexcel sustained multiple tests making certain that SunTrust’s internal message infrastructure was able to achieve desired queues, response times, and authorization results. With each performance test at SunTrust, Lexcel provided professional services support, both on-site and remotely to further guarantee successful test results.
Lexcel implemented Lexcel Interface Manager at SunTrust, migrating their environment from stand alone licensing access into an infrastructure with unlimited user access and a project license solution. Through Lexcel Interface Manager licensing, users take advantage of the freedom of testing from their SunTrust desktop computer, laptop, or even the ability to work from home via VPN access to the SunTrust network.
Lexcel has also delivered their Open Architecture testing solution, expanding SunTrust test coverage in preparation for a successful transition from NCR Aptra 2.0 to the latest version, NCR Aptra 3.1. Lexcel’s ATM delivery solution enables SunTrust to replicate the physical ATM device interfaced to NCR’s Aptra Windows® / XFS application in a virtual testing environment. The virtual ATMs are created on test PCs running Lexcel TestSystem ATM – Open Architecture, providing ATM device inputs and outputs to exercise the Aptra application and Tandem based host system. Lexcel’s virtual ATMs can be multiplied, controlled by configuration, and fully automated allowing for testing and regression of multiple vendor software and application revisions side-by-side.
Lexcel’s professional services team performed on-site installation, training, and implementation for each product ensuring comfort and fast adoption of the new testing solutions. Lexcel provided SunTrust resources with structured user group sessions and in-depth user training where users gained confidence with hands on experience. Through applying Lexcel testing philosophies to SunTrust’s daily testing challenges, users were able to understand and apply concepts quickly in their daily environment.
