Speedway SuperAmerica LLC Successfully Implements Lexcel's POS Testing Solution to Validate Changes to Their Unique Environment
Speedway SuperAmerica LLC (Speedway) desired a testing solution that would enable them to automate the generation of SPDH specific POS transactions in order to validate Base 24 system changes and upgrades. The test system had to be straightforward and efficient in generating thousands of transactions to validate the routing and Host code functionality of their Base 24 system. The successful test system also had to be supported by an experienced team backed by thriving and successful references.
Upon the conclusion of Speedway’s research they chose Lexcel TestSystem® POS and the team of Lexcel professionals to meet the challenge facing their environment.
Speedway’s requirements were many and Lexcel overcame each challenge during the installation, exceeding Speedway’s expectations. With information gathered from Speedway, Lexcel assembled a thorough site plan that included installation requirements, site-specific configurations and detailed user-focused documentation. This proactive planning enabled Lexcel to complete the integration into Speedway’s state-of-the-art VM Ware LAN architecture and achieve Host connectivity in just over half an hour. Once the platform was in place, Lexcel worked with Speedway personnel to review their existing test cases in order to tailor a baseline set of test scripts. Finally, Lexcel conducted hands-on user-training utilizing Lexcel TestSystem POS test scripts and card files to exchange transactions directly with Speedway’s development and quality assurance environments.
“Thank you for a smooth installation, startup and training. You accomplished in two days what your competitor could not do in a month,” a Speedway insider told Lexcel matter-of-factly.
Moving forward, Speedway is looking to expand the reach of their Lexcel TestSystem POS – Speedway SPDH to include Host log conversions into Lexcel test scripts for even more extensive testing.
