Abbey National, one of the UK’s largest personal financial services companies, has chosen Lexcel to consult and implement an enterprise-wide platform that would enable desktop access to all testing personnel in the UK and Spain

Abbey National’s Quality Assurance and Development personnel had been utilizing Lexcel’s stand-alone X.25 and TCP/IP versions of Lexcel TestSystem® Network – LIS5 ISO for their LINK pre-certification and internal testing. With the acquisition of Abbey National by Banco Santander Central Hispano in November 2004 and the extension of Abbey National in the Spanish marketplace, they realized their testing platform also required expansion. As a result, Lexcel® Interface Manager™ was integrated into their environment to facilitate access to multiple Host systems- creating a robust system that now enables transaction exchanges between Host systems in the UK and Spain, and desktop access through dedicated connections enterprise-wide.

As a testament to the success of the new configuration, two months post-implementation, Abbey National was able to successfully prepare for and execute LIS5 platform conversions and system validations utilizing their new Lexcel Interface Manager architecture.
