Security Service Federal Credit Union Expands Internal Testing with Lexcel Upgrade and Additions
Scottsdale, Ariz.- July 8, 2005 – Lexcel
Solutions, Inc. recently provided expanded internal testing
solutions for Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU),
a $3.5 billion financial institution headquartered in San
Antonio, Texas. With upcoming mandates of 3DES and the migration
of a new ATM hardware/software version, SSFCU, a client for
more than 10 years, called on Lexcel to advise, support and
implement a full-scale addition to its current testing environment.
“When we realized that our ATM testing platform required
upgrading , we relied on Lexcel to get the credit union where
it needed to be,” said Jay Winslow, Senior Vice President
and Chief Information Officer for SSFCU. “Lexcel’s
advanced technology provided us with the tools we needed
to help transform our current testing environment.”
Lexcel’s business analysts and technical support
personnel assisted SSFCU by implementing an SNA-based network-wide
Lexcel Interface Manager platform, adding Lexcel TestSystem
ATM PowerSet, and upgrading its existing Lexcel TestSystem
Network – PULSE ISO. During the installation phase
of the project, Lexcel was also able to build upon an aspect
of SSFCU’s SNA communication protocol layer through
the use of diagnostic applications resident on Lexcel Interface
Manager. Based on the success of the installation and product
functionality, SSFCU also further expanded its testing capabilities
by adding an additional ATM license to their network-wide
configuration.
“This need for SSFCU to move from a ‘stand-alone,
unit-testing’ environment to an “Enterprise Platform,” which
included utilizing their actual production communications
protocols, is well understood by Lexcel,” said John
Marshall, EVP Business Development for Lexcel. " Thinking
about this need and understanding it is one thing, the fact
is, Lexcel executed on this understanding between 2002 and
2005, by investing in the R&D required, to implement
all of the components required to support the ‘Enterprise
Platform’ solution our clients need now.” John
