LINK Certifies Mobile Phone Top Up with Lexcel Enhanced Test System
The major UK mobile phone networks have worked together with LINK to provide a service for financial institution cardholders to credit their mobile phone with airtime from a mobile phone network.
Testing the service involved four separate entities – the acquirer, LINK, phone network, and card issuer.
Lexcel's Mobile Phone Top Up (MPTU) enhanced LIS5 test system became the focal point of LINK's MPTU testing and certification. LINK used the ScriptBuilder component of Lexcel TestSystem® Network-LIS5 to build transactions with MPTU information embedded in new "sub-fields" of the transaction. The Lexcel MPTU test system provided the testers with an easy-to-use interface to test the complex interrelationships defined by the MPTU service.
