JPMorgan Electronic Financial Services Utilizes Lexcel TestSystem Network for Testing and Validation of 3DES Enhancements
JPMorgan Electronic Financial Services (JPMorgan EFS) is a leading provider of government-issued benefits payments and prepaid stored value cards used by state and federal government agencies and private institutions.
In order to provide additional security to its customers, JPMorgan EFS planned to upgrade its Host infrastructure with Triple DES encryption. JPMorgan EFS selected Lexcel to provide a solution to test the new Host Security Module (HSM) and the updated 3 DES enabled Host software.
Testing the new HSM and the Host 3DES code required JPMorgan EFS to process 3DES formatted transactions from several different acquiring endpoints. 3DES enabled Lexcel TestSystem® Network provided JPMorgan Development and QA staff with the ability to easily build, exchange, and validate transactions to exercise the new 3DES Host infrastructure.
Lexcel test systems assisted JPMorgan EFS to successfully migrate their Host environment to a more secure 3DES environment. With Lexcel technology, JPMorgan has a testing infrastructure in place that supports a methodology for ongoing unit, system, and regression testing of changes to the Host environment.
