Lexcel TestSystem® Settlement Continues to Innovate
Developed for First Data Resources merchant processing platform in 1995 and for the MasterCard® Global Clearing Management System (GCMS) payment network in 2000, Lexcel TestSystem Settlement continues to support FDR and MasterCard's latest payment network requirements.
In the traditional testing model, the authorization transaction logs are ported to a separate Host system for settlement and clearing. Testers then find themselves at the mercy of calendar or cutover dependent settlement runs that probably will not have the reports available until the next day or even the next week.
Lexcel settlement testing solutions enable acquirers and payment processors to control cycle execution and processing options used to validate or generate settlement files when message format changes are made. Directly interfacing to Lexcel TestSystems provides seamless conversion of transaction logs into settlement processes. Lexcel's proprietary closed-loop system maintains data integrity in addition to syntax checks through multiple payment cycles.
The most recent innovation, Lexcel TestSystem Settlement, enables testers to perform true end-to-end tests by integrating the authorization, clearing and reporting processes into a single testing platform. Lexcel TestSystem Settlement is a pre-defined, controlled testing platform that enables institutions to perform comprehensive settlement testing. This unique PC-based software application emulates Host System's back-office processing logic and message settlement formats.
Lexcel TestSystem Settlement operates as a stand-alone application available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This empowers users to easily utilize existing data and transfer settlement-ready files from testing or production platforms through a variety of data formats. Lexcel TestSystem Settlement is an integral component for testing everything from application upgrades or modifications, to complete settlement file format conversions, through user-friendly modules that cover all aspects of transaction generation, processing, and examination.
Through our deployment agreement with a major association, Lexcel TestSystem Settlement was installed at 350+ sites in the US and abroad by September 2004. The successful implementation of this suite has led to a change in settlement testing methodology.
